Dugi otok
The Dugi otok (Long island) is one of the four islands
that make up the outern row of the islands of Zadar
archipelago. On the island there are 11 settlements, of
which Soline is situated and the northwestern part of
the island in the bay of Soliscica.
Dugi otok is abundant with natural beauties. What is
particularly worth mentioning is the Telašcica Nature
Park, which is located on the southern part of the
island, then a "velo and malo jezero" (big and small
lake) near Zman, Solinšcica bay and at the end the bay
Sakarun. There are plenty of archaeological remains from
the near and distant past. Near the island there are
many smaller islets and cliffs. The National Park
Kornati is also nearby.
The sights of the island are also the lighthouse Veli
rat near Veli Rat and the church of Sv. Pelegrina in
Savar.
The Dugi otok has several domestic daily ferry and
boat connections with Zadar. Dugi otok is connected by ferry line Zadar Brbinj and fast-shipping lines Zadar Sali, Zaglav and Zadar Bozava. All
settlements are connected by local bus lines.
